Assort Health, a San Francisco company that builds AI agents for patient access, raised a $120m Series C at a $1.2bn valuation, announced on 24 June 2026. Menlo Ventures led. Lightspeed Venture Partners, Felicis, First Round Capital, Chemistry, Joe Montana, Tau Ventures and Quiet Capital also invested.

The round takes Assort's total funding to more than $222m. Menlo Ventures partner JP Sanday joins the board and fellow Menlo partner Matt Murphy becomes a board observer.

What Assort does

Assort's platform covers the patient journey: scheduling, intake, referrals, document processing, medication refills, real-time eligibility, lab requests and payments. Its products are Concierge, Activate, Orchestrate and Empower, and they run on a proprietary model called Synapse.

The company says it has handled more than 190 million patient voice interactions and built 62,000 care protocols and 1.6 million decision pathways. It was founded by co-chief executives Jon Wang and Jeffery Liu.

Wang said: "This market is going to consolidate in the same way every other one has." Liu said that Synapse "is the foundation that lets us build faster than anyone in the market".

Customers and growth

The company says its revenue has grown 20-fold in the past 15 months, without giving an absolute figure. It serves health systems from community-based organisations to academic medical centres. John Muir Health is a named customer, and Digital Health News reports a claimed 115% increase in administrative labour capacity and a 5% rise in net appointment volume there.

Quoted customers include MDCS Dermatology and Boston Bone and Joint Institute. Dr Parinita Amin, chief executive of MDCS Dermatology, said: "We evaluated every AI solution on the market. Assort was the only true platform." The performance and revenue claims are the company's own.

Who invested

Sanday of Menlo said that "every so often a company comes along that fundamentally reimagines how an industry operates". Murphy said the value of Assort's platform compounds with every patient interaction.

Digital Health News describes the money as going toward expanding from large provider groups into enterprise health systems and academic medical centres. Pulse 2.0 says it scales the platform and expands into health system operations. Neither gives a more detailed breakdown, and neither gives a headcount.

Jon Shaker, executive director of Boston Bone and Joint Institute, said: "When a patient reaches out for care, you often get one chance to earn their trust." Digital Health News says Assort positions its product as an alternative to standalone voice bots, and that Synapse was trained on the 190 million patient voice interactions.

The funding so far

Total funding exceeds $222m, so roughly $100m was raised before this round, though the sources do not break that down by round.

The valuation of $1.2bn was announced by the company. Neither source states whether it is pre- or post-money.

The company did not disclose its employee count or how its earlier funding was split between rounds. Menlo's JP Sanday joins the board as part of the deal.
