Courier Health, a New York company that sells software for managing patient experience to life-sciences companies, raised a $50m Series B round, announced on 22 April 2026. Oak HC/FT led the round. Existing investors Norwest and Work-Bench took part. No valuation was disclosed.

The company said it will use the money for product innovation, including scaling its platform and its agentic AI capabilities, and for investing in its team. Built In reported the same use of funds, quoting founder and chief executive Danny Sigurdson on scaling the platform and agentic AI capabilities and continuing to invest in a world-class team.

What Courier Health does

Courier Health's platform is meant to manage the whole patient journey on behalf of drugmakers: education, enrolment, benefits and prior authorisation, starting therapy and staying on it. It connects patient-experience data and systems, and applies AI to surface insights and flag patients who are at risk of dropping off.

The company lists deep data integrations, context-rich AI workflows, interfaces for market-access and patient-services teams, and AI agents for automation among its features. Its mission focuses on people living with chronic conditions or rare diseases. Built In described its aim as giving biopharma companies visibility, control and intelligence over their interactions with providers, pharmacies and patients.

Growth and customer results

According to Oak HC/FT's account of the announcement, the number of customers and therapies supported on the platform grew by more than 400% in 2025, and the company's headcount more than doubled. The sources did not give the underlying numbers. Customers report double-digit improvements to patient starts, time to start and adherence, the announcement said.

Courier Health also publishes an annual report, The State of Patient-Centricity in Biopharma, and hosts an invite-only event, the Patient Innovators Summit. The 2026 edition of the report found that nearly 60% of biopharma companies consider their data fragmented or not actionable, and that fewer than 10% have enough data maturity to use AI meaningfully.

The lead investor

Oak HC/FT is a venture and growth-equity firm focused on fintech and healthcare. It was founded in 2014, has invested in 120 portfolio companies and manages more than $7bn in assets, according to the announcement. It is based in Stamford, Connecticut, with an office in San Francisco.

Billy Deitch, a partner at Oak HC/FT, said healthcare, and especially life sciences, has long lacked a dedicated, purpose-built platform to manage patients.

Sigurdson said that when customers are successful, patients achieve better health outcomes, and that this is the company's north star.

What is not disclosed

Oak HC/FT describes Courier Health as a New York City company, and names Sigurdson as its founder and chief executive. It did not disclose its total funding, the size of earlier rounds, its exact headcount or customer count, or how it will split the $50m between product and hiring. Built In also reported no figures on past financing.
