dtcpay, a Singapore-based company that lets businesses and consumers pay and get paid in stablecoins, said on 18 September 2026 that it had completed a $25m Series A round.
Japanese financial group SBI Group joined the round as a strategic investor, putting money in through its subsidiary SBI Ventures Asset and through the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund. Singapore fund manager Genedant Capital and existing investor Kwee Liong Tek, a Singaporean businessman, also took part.
Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India, part of Temasek-owned Vertex Holdings, led the first tranche of the round. dtcpay had announced that first close as a $10m Series A in March 2026, as reported by FinTech Global. The company did not disclose a valuation or how much each investor contributed.
“We did not raise this round to sustain what we have built. We raised it to fundamentally change how money moves across borders.”Alice Liu, Founder and CEO, dtcpay
What dtcpay does
Founded by Alice Liu, its chief executive, and Band Zhao, its group chairman, dtcpay provides accounts, cards and checkout tools that let customers accept, store and spend stablecoins alongside ordinary currencies. A swap engine converts between stablecoins and fiat money in real time, which the company pitches as a cheaper and faster alternative to cross-border transfers over SWIFT and correspondent banks.
Its products include a point-of-sale system for merchants that accept stablecoins in store, an integration with WalletConnect that opens acceptance to more than 700 crypto wallets, and a Visa card that can spend both stablecoins and fiat currencies. The company said it enabled Metro to become the first department store in Singapore to take stablecoin payments.
dtcpay is licensed as a Major Payment Institution by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and holds an Electronic Money Institution licence in Luxembourg, which allows it to offer regulated payment services across the European Economic Area. It also holds licences or registrations in Hong Kong, Australia, the United States and Canada. The Block reported that the company was founded in 2019.
Who invested
SBI Group operates across banking, securities, insurance, asset management and digital assets in Japan. Eiichiro So, chief executive of SBI Ven Capital, said the deal was the start of a strategic partnership with dtcpay as SBI expands in Singapore and Southeast Asia, and part of a wider plan to build links for digital assets between Japan and the region.
Genedant Capital is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and says it has more than $2bn in assets under management and advisory. Its chief executive, Quek How Jiang, said the firm would also open its network of family offices and institutional investors to dtcpay. Kwee Liong Tek increased his commitment to the company in this round.
What the money is for
dtcpay said the extra capital would let it keep scaling its products and merchant network. For the rest of 2026 it plans a revamped business portal for enterprise clients and a set of new features in its consumer app. Chairman Band Zhao said the company would also strengthen its infrastructure, deepen partnerships with global financial institutions and enter new regulated markets.
Before this round, dtcpay raised a $16.5m pre-Series A round announced in June 2023, according to The Block.
