Neko Health, the preventive health company co-founded by Spotify founder Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, announced on 15 July 2026 that it had completed a $700m Series C round. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round and O.G. Venture Partners co-led it.
Existing investors Atomico, General Catalyst and Lakestar took part, along with new investors Liberty City Ventures, Positive Sum and BDT & MSD. The company also named a long list of individual backers, including Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, Ari Emanuel, Jimmy Iovine, Maria Sharapova, Thierry Henry, Tim Ferriss and will.i.am.
Neko did not disclose a valuation. HIT Consultant reported that the round valued the company at nearly $7bn, about four times the $1.7bn valuation it reported for the January 2025 Series B.
“With this round, we're taking that mission to the US for the first time, while continuing to invest in the research and technology that make prevention possible at scale.”Hjalmar Nilsonne, Co-Founder and CEO, Neko Health
What Neko Health does
Neko runs clinics that offer a non-invasive, radiation-free body scan lasting about 60 minutes. The scan combines several sensors with on-site blood tests, and a doctor reviews the results with the patient during the same visit. It costs £299 (about $400) in the UK and 2,750 Swedish kronor (about $290) in Sweden, according to the company's announcement.
The company opened its first clinic in 2023 and now operates in Stockholm, London, Manchester and Birmingham. London has four sites: Marylebone, Spitalfields, Covent Garden and Victoria.
Neko said more than 100,000 people in the UK and Sweden had been scanned and more than 350,000 had joined its waitlist or registered for a scan. About 75% of members book and prepay their next scan before leaving the clinic, the company said. It also reported that five of seven key biomarkers improved significantly between members' first and second scans.
What the money is for
The main use of the round is Neko's first expansion outside Europe. The company plans to open a clinic in New York in 2026, and HIT Consultant reported that it will be a flagship site in Manhattan. The money will also support continued growth in the UK and further investment in research and technology.
Neko recently introduced new versions of its scanning devices, named Derma-2, Echo-2 and Spectrum-2, as well as wearables integration and body composition analysis.
Who invested
Lightspeed's Bejul Somaia, a global partner at the firm, said Neko had shown strong growth over the previous eighteen months. Music Business Worldwide noted that Lightspeed is also one of the largest investors in AI music company Suno.
As part of the round, David Ofer of O.G. Venture Partners will join Neko's board, subject to regulatory approval. Eyal Ofer of O.G. Venture Partners said in the announcement that the founders "execute at a level few can match."
The funding so far
Neko's previous round was a $260m Series B in January 2025. The company has not published a total for all the money it has raised.
Co-founder and chief executive Hjalmar Nilsonne said the round was a vote of confidence in the model the company set out with when it opened its first clinic three years earlier, and that it would take that approach to the US for the first time.
