nyra health, a Vienna-based company that makes AI-supported therapy software for people with neurological conditions, raised a €20m (about $23.6m) Series A round, announced on 24 February 2026. Armira Growth led the round.
Existing investors Wellington Partners, Crane Venture Partners and EVER Pharma returned. Crane Venture Partners now oversees the investments of MassMutual Ventures, according to the announcement. No valuation was disclosed.
The money is meant to expand in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), speed up entry to the US market, and fund product development and the scaling of the company's AI platform.
What nyra health does
The company's main product is myReha, a therapy software certified as a Class IIa medical device under the EU Medical Device Regulation. Patients recovering from stroke, dementia or traumatic brain injury train speech, cognition, fine motor skills and everyday abilities, and the software adjusts to their performance, fatigue and progress with real-time feedback.
Therapists use a clinical management system called nyra insights to follow language development, therapy intensity and progress curves, adjust programmes and generate documentation automatically. A Content Studio tool creates personalised therapy material from an individual's performance data.
The company was previously called myReha and took the name nyra health around its seed round, according to Trending Topics. Its founders are Moritz Schöllauf, who is chief executive, Philipp Schöllauf, a physician, and Mario Zusag, formerly of IBM Research AI and Google AI.
Clinical and commercial traction
myReha is used in more than 100 clinics in Germany and Austria, up from 45 at the time of the seed round, Trending Topics reported. It forms part of regular care at Deutsche Rentenversicherung, the German pension insurer and Europe's largest rehabilitation provider, and 28 statutory and private health insurers reimburse it, covering more than 40 million insured people.
A randomised controlled trial reported significantly larger improvements in cognitive and language function than standard therapy. The company has published eleven scientific papers and holds ISO 13485 and ISO 27001 certifications. A publicly funded research project worth €4.2m is validating its multimodal AI models with US research universities.
The announcement cited annual costs of €65bn in Germany alone for neurological conditions such as stroke, dementia and brain injury, driven largely by gaps in care after hospital discharge.
What the money is for
In the DACH region, nyra health plans to connect more clinic groups and extend reimbursement models in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It is preparing a US launch together with an international pharmaceutical company, which the announcement did not name.
Christian Figge, managing partner at Armira Growth, said in the announcement that nyra health is regarded as a category creator. Armira describes itself as an investment holding that manages more than €5bn and backs entrepreneur-led and family-owned companies.
The funding so far
Before this round, EVER Pharma's family office invested in a pre-seed round in 2021, the amount of which was not stated. In 2023 the company raised a €4.5m seed round led by MassMutual Ventures and Wellington Partners, according to Trending Topics.
The founding year and headcount were not stated in the sources reviewed.
