Outmarket AI, a San Francisco company that builds AI workflow software for insurance agencies, said it had raised $34.5m in a Series B round led by SignalFire. Fika Ventures, Permanent Capital Ventures, TTV Capital and Dash Fund also took part. The announcement was dated 25 September and distributed through PR Newswire on 28 September 2026.
The round came a few months after Outmarket announced a $17m Series A in May, and it brought the company's total funding to $56.5m. Outmarket said it had not planned to raise again so soon, but that demand from agencies had pushed it to do so.
The company did not disclose a valuation. Dealroom News, in a summary of the round, put the valuation at $335m; other reports gave different figures, and Outmarket has not confirmed any of them.
“Agencies don't want another point solution. They want an intelligence layer that understands their data and does the work.”Vishal Sankhla, CEO and Co-founder, Outmarket AI
What Outmarket AI does
Outmarket connects directly to the agency management systems that insurance brokers already use and runs automated workflows on top of the data held there. It covers commercial insurance, employee benefits, personal lines and specialty insurance. Tasks include checking policies against each other for coverage gaps, analysing loss runs and preparing renewals, benchmarking and proposals for benefits brokers.
Alongside the funding, the company released a workflow for certificates of insurance, a high-volume task in most agencies. The tool reads a client's contract or lease, pulls out the insurance requirements, compares them with policies already in the agency's system, flags gaps and produces a completed ACORD certificate. Outmarket said early customers were issuing certificates in a few minutes.
The company was co-founded by chief executive Vishal Sankhla and chief technology officer Anshu Jain. Coverager reported that the business was founded in 2023, and Dealroom News said Sankhla previously led product at the life insurer Ethos and worked at Facebook and Uber.
Growth since the Series A
Outmarket said it had recently passed 10,000 active users and now counts more than 300 agency customers, including more than a quarter of the 100 largest insurance agencies. When it announced its Series A in May, the company said more than 250 brokerages used the platform daily, according to Pulse 2.
The company said it had expanded its team across engineering, insurance operations and customer success, but it did not give a headcount. It did not report revenue for the latest round. At the time of the Series A, it said annual recurring revenue had grown fivefold year on year since its launch in March 2025, according to Pulse 2.
Tony Pezzullo, a partner at SignalFire, said in the announcement that Outmarket had captured a large share of the market in a short time, and that the firm was doubling down after investing in the Series A.
What the money is for
Outmarket did not give a detailed breakdown of how it would spend the new funding. It said the money would speed up its product roadmap and support further hiring.
The company also said it would start extending its platform to insurance carriers later this year, so that information can pass between agencies and carriers without being rekeyed by hand. Until now its software has been built for agencies and brokers.
The funding so far
Permanent Capital Ventures led Outmarket's $17m Series A, announced on 13 May 2026, with SignalFire, Fika Ventures, TTV Capital and Dash Fund also investing, according to Pulse 2. That round brought total funding to $21.7m at the time.
With SignalFire moving from participant to lead, the same group of investors has now backed both rounds within roughly four months. Dealroom News named Fulcrum AI and Further AI among the startups competing for the same agency customers.
