Rabot Energy, a Hamburg-based digital electricity supplier known for dynamic tariffs, has raised €50m (about $56m) in a Series B round, its investor High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) announced on 15 October 2026.

Growth investor Endeit came in as the new lead, together with the DeepTech & Climate Fonds (DTCF). Existing backers HV Capital, HTGF, Bosch Ventures, CNI, Acurio Ventures and vent.io also put in money. No valuation was disclosed.

Several English-language outlets reported the round as $50m; the German announcement and German coverage such as Startbase give the amount in euros.

What Rabot Energy does

Rabot Energy has sold 100% green electricity in Germany as a digital supplier since 2021. Alongside its dynamic tariffs, its software automatically shifts flexible demand, such as charging a battery, into the hours when power is cheap and plentiful and draws on stored energy when supply is tight.

In June 2026 it launched Rabot Flow, a bundle of a dynamic tariff, a smart meter and a battery that plugs into an ordinary wall socket. The company says the package lowers an average household's energy bill by 15%, arrives within three days and is switched on in about two minutes in the app. Because it needs no rooftop solar panels, renters can use it too.

Grouped together, those household batteries are meant to act as a virtual power plant that helps balance the grid. Chief executive Jan Rabe said in the German-language announcement that the next generation of power plants would be connected rather than built. Tech Funding News reports that Rabe co-founded the business with Maximilian Both, and that it was their third energy company after Wechselpilot.

Growth so far

According to the announcement, Rabot Energy won more than 200,000 customers in three and a half years, about 15,000 of them business and industrial users, and lifted revenue to €200m (about $224m). It supplies more than 600 million kilowatt-hours of green power, and by its own calculation customers saved about €45m in 2025 compared with their local default supplier's prices.

Sara Resvik, a partner at Endeit, said Rabe and his team had built a profitable core business. Tech Funding News reported that the company employed about 135 people in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin as of October 2025.

What the money is for

Rabot Energy plans to use the Series B to reach one million customers and to keep building its own technology platform. It will widen its offer for households and for commercial and industrial customers in Germany, and connect more types of devices, from home batteries to wallboxes and heat pumps.

Anne Hinze, a senior investment manager at the DTCF, said the platform lets households benefit from an increasingly volatile power market. The fund, backed by Germany's Zukunftsfonds and ERP special fund, invests up to €50m per company in deep-tech and climate start-ups.

The funding so far

Tech Funding News reports that Rabot Energy had raised €4.5m (about $4.9m) in pre-seed and seed money by April 2023 and a €17.5m (about $19m) Series A led by HV Capital in January 2024, followed by an undisclosed investment from Bosch Ventures in July 2025. The company has not published a total for all of its funding.
