Rork, an AI platform that builds and publishes mobile apps from natural-language prompts, raised a $15m seed round, announced on 9 April 2026. Left Lane Capital led the round. Peak XV, True Ventures and Goodwater took part, and a16z Speedrun, an existing investor, also joined. No valuation was disclosed.

Pulse 2.0 described the money as meant to advance the company's mission, and neither report gave a more detailed use of funds.

“When everyone fears AI replacing their jobs, we believe it will lead to more consumers starting companies.”Daniel Dhawan, Co-Founder, Rork

What Rork does

Rork turns plain-language prompts into apps for iOS and Android, built with Swift, React Native and Expo, and publishes them to the App Store and Google Play. Its newer product, Rork Max, is designed to replace traditional iOS development tools such as Xcode. According to the company's release, it builds apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Vision Pro and iMessage, and is powered by Claude Code and Claude Opus 4.6.

Pulse 2.0 reported that Rork launched its web product in February 2025 and its mobile app later that year. It first explored AI tools for web development and pivoted to mobile after competitors dominated that segment.

Traction the company reports

The company said it ranks in the top two worldwide in the App Store's Developer Tools category and is the number one referring website to RevenueCat. It said the launch of Rork Max drew more than 8 million views on X and doubled its annual revenue within two weeks. The company describes itself as the largest AI mobile app builder by web traffic, though it gave no traffic figure.

As an example of a user, the release cited WrestleAI, an app built by 18-year-old George Lampropoulos that reached more than $30,000 in monthly revenue. Pulse 2.0 said no specific customers or figures were named in its own coverage. These figures come from the company and have not been independently checked.

Acquisition and founders

Rork's first acquisition was Paperline, a macOS app that builds native Swift apps with AI, founded by Evgenii Mozharovskii and Maksim Konstantinov.

The founders are Daniel Dhawan and Levan Kvirkvelia. The release describes Dhawan as a former maths and physics Olympiad winner whose apps reached number two on the App Store in three countries, and Kvirkvelia as having built Russia's largest educational timetable and Q&A app at 17, which grew to more than 2 million users.

The funding so far

The company previously raised $2.8m in a round led by a16z Speedrun, with Hustle Fund, ChapterOne, Founders Inc. and angel investors including Austen Allred, Charlie Cheever and Evan Bacon of Expo, and Siqi Chen of Runway. Total funding was not stated.

Dhawan said, according to both reports, that when everyone fears AI replacing their jobs, the company believes it will lead to more consumers starting companies. Matthew Miller of Left Lane Capital said mobile is the most valuable surface area on the planet. Neither report gave Rork's headquarters or headcount.
