Scimplify, a Bengaluru maker of specialty chemicals and advanced materials, has raised $25m in a round led by Hitachi Ventures, Global Venturing reported on 14 October 2026.

Henkel and Teknor Apex, both Scimplify customers, joined as new investors, alongside returning backers Accel, 3one4 Capital, Bertelsmann India Investments and Omnivore. Teknor Apex will also become a manufacturing partner for the company's US expansion. The company says the round brings its total equity funding to $80m.

Global Venturing and Entrepreneur India described the deal as a strategic round. SiliconANGLE, citing TechCrunch, called it a Series C and reported a post-money valuation of $250m, about $100m higher than a year earlier. Scimplify has not confirmed the valuation.

“Specialty chemicals demand has outgrown the models built to serve it. India has the manufacturing capacity, but much of it sits underused, without the science and quality systems global customers require. We believe Scimplify is building the platform that closes this gap.”Radhika Ananth, Managing Director of India, Hitachi Ventures

What Scimplify does

Scimplify tries to fix a mismatch in the specialty chemicals industry: many smaller factories have spare capacity, while global buyers struggle to find, vet and brief suppliers they can trust. Its AI platform, Scinode, maps more than 500 manufacturing facilities by capability, equipment, capacity, compliance and production history, and matches projects with suitable scientists and factories.

The company's own laboratories develop and validate processes, and its engineers and quality staff oversee scale-up, customer qualification and delivery. Results from each project feed back into the platform, and partner plants have begun sharing reactor-level data through internet-of-things pilots. SiliconANGLE reported that Scimplify has a 50-person in-house research team.

Scimplify cites several customer examples. A Japanese semiconductor materials company looking for a source outside China received a high-purity chemical sample that passed its process test within two months, against an expected qualification period of about a year. A Japanese electronics company qualified a battery cathode material for production volumes within four months of first meeting Scimplify, and a US metals manufacturer placed a one-year repeat order for tungsten recovered from industrial scrap and spent catalysts.

Revenue and investors

Scimplify reports an annualised revenue run rate of $200m. According to SiliconANGLE, that figure has roughly tripled over the past year, about 30% of revenue comes from the US, and the company expects to become profitable next month and aims to reach a $400m run rate next year.

Radhika Ananth, managing director for India at Hitachi Ventures, said demand for specialty chemicals has outgrown the models built to serve it, and that India has manufacturing capacity that sits underused without the science and quality systems global customers require. She said the company has served customers in more than 40 countries in under three years, with over 40% of its portfolio in materials for semiconductors, batteries and critical minerals.

What the money is for

Scimplify plans to build US research and process-development teams, expand US manufacturing and processing capacity, add qualified American manufacturing partners and secure feedstock for critical metals and rare earths, with a focus on materials for semiconductors, defence, energy and AI infrastructure. SiliconANGLE reported that $7.5m is earmarked for the US expansion and $2m for Scinode.

The company, founded in 2023 according to Inc42 and Entrepreneur India, raised a $9.5m Series A in August 2024 led by Omnivore and Bertelsmann India Investments, and a $40m Series B in March 2025 co-led by Accel and Bertelsmann, according to Inc42.
