Vitalls, a UAE health technology company building a digital health passport, has signed a $1.5m investment commitment for its seed round from EST Growmore, the investment arm of EST Group. The deal was announced on 21 October 2026 at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit.

EST Growmore joins as the anchor investor in the seed round, and the agreement gives it an option to invest a further $1m, according to the company's release. Founder Mehdi Bouchenak and Dr Sindhu Bhaskar, chairman of EST Group, signed the agreement. The regional outlet Jawlah described EST Growmore as the round's lead investor.

The announcement describes a commitment rather than money already received, and it did not say when the funds will be paid or whether other investors will join the round. HealthTech Asia noted that the valuation and the timing of any further investment were not disclosed. Wamda also reported the deal.

What Vitalls does

Vitalls is building a health record that its users own and control and can take with them between doctors, hospitals and countries. Individuals and families can store and manage their medical records on the platform and share them, with consent, with the providers they choose. The company says it takes a privacy-first approach and encrypts the data.

The product is aimed at people who move between countries, including expatriates, frequent travellers, cross-border workers and families split between countries, as well as at enterprises.

Wamda and Jawlah reported that the company was founded in 2023. Bouchenak is its founder and, according to Wamda, its chief executive. None of the sources names a headquarters city beyond the UAE. The company has not disclosed user numbers, revenue or headcount.

Who is investing

EST Growmore Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-registered Variable Capital Company fund that focuses on cross-border investment and structured equity, according to the release, and it invests in technology, healthcare, agriculture and sustainable development.

The two sides said they would explore working together on distribution, product development and partnerships, including across EST Group's telecom and healthcare holdings, Wamda and HealthTech Asia reported.

Bouchenak said in the release that, beyond the capital, the agreement confirmed that the problem Vitalls set out to solve is real and urgent. Bhaskar said his group had studied the problem Vitalls is working on and was convinced.

What the money is for

Vitalls said the money will speed up the development and rollout of its health passport. Jawlah reported that the company also plans to extend its services to individuals, companies and institutions that need quick and secure access to health records across borders, and HealthTech Asia mentioned regional and international expansion.

The release was supplied by Vitalls to UAE Startup Story, which said it had not verified the information. Vitalls has not reported any earlier funding, and none of the sources said how much the full seed round is meant to raise or when it is expected to close.
