Avantos, a New York company that builds an AI platform for onboarding and serving clients of financial firms, raised a $25m Series A in February 2026. The round was announced on 18 February.

Bessemer Venture Partners led it. The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, SEI and Vanguard took part as new strategic investors, according to FinTech Global. Earlier backers E14 Fund, M13, Mercer Advisors and Blue Collective are also listed as investors. No valuation was disclosed.

FinTech Global reported that the round follows a $10m seed in September 2024 led by E14 Fund. Together the two rounds come to $35m.

What Avantos does

Avantos describes itself as an AI-native operating system for client management. It is built on a knowledge graph that links a firm's products, service teams, workflows and service expectations, so that AI agents and human staff work from the same context.

The idea is that financial firms often have ambitious plans to deepen client relationships but run on fragmented systems that do not support the work across the client lifecycle. Avantos says its agents can reason across those relationships, orchestrate tasks across several systems and carry them out with oversight, aiming for a consistent, compliant and scalable approach to onboarding and service.

According to The SaaS News, the company serves asset managers, private banks, insurance carriers, broker-dealers, independent registered investment advisers and custodians. Its website carries testimonials from Mercer Advisors, Guardian, Vanguard and SEI.

Who invested

Eric Kaplan, a vice president at Bessemer, said Avantos stands apart as an end-to-end platform that can deliver client services across wealth, insurance, retirement and banking, and that its agents can handle complex, long-horizon tasks. He added that the founders have experience building enterprise software for the same institutions.

Kaplan also said Bessemer was already seeing the platform validated through partnerships with industry leaders, and described the founders as bringing rare empathy and insight from their earlier work.

The SaaS News described Bessemer as a global venture firm with more than 150 IPOs and over 420 portfolio companies, with investment teams in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, New York, Boston, London, Bangalore and Tel Aviv.

The company was founded by Bassam Chaptini and Rabih Ramadi, according to FinTech Global.

Mercer Advisors, an earlier investor and also a customer, was quoted in the announcement. Its president, Daniel Gourvitch, said Avantos has changed how its teams deliver an integrated standard of financial care across investments, planning, estate and tax services, and gives them deep and immediate context on client relationships.

What the money is for

Avantos said it will keep investing in its platform and expand its AI agents. It also plans deeper integrations with custodians, customer relationship management systems, portfolio management systems, underwriting tools and policy administration platforms, as reported by both The SaaS News and FinTech Global.

Neither source gave a headcount, a founding year or revenue figures for the company, and no investor other than Bessemer was named as a lead.

Why financial firms are a target

Wealth managers, insurers, banks and custodians typically run client data across several separate systems for onboarding, servicing, portfolio management, underwriting and policy administration. Avantos positions its software as a layer that sits on top of those systems and fits into the technology a firm already uses, according to its website.

That framing explains the list of integrations in the use-of-funds plan. The more custodians, CRMs and policy systems the platform connects to, the more of a client's journey its agents can act on without staff re-entering information by hand.

Guardian is an insurer, SEI a provider of investment technology and Vanguard an asset manager, all within the segments Avantos serves. The sources did not say whether the three have signed commercial agreements with Avantos beyond the investment, though Guardian, Vanguard and SEI appear as customer testimonials on the company's site.
