Claimlane, a Copenhagen company that handles aftersales claims for brands and retailers, raised €5.6m (about $6.4m) in a Series A round announced on 5 November 2026.
Verb Ventures led the round, with Skagerak Capital and Vendep Capital taking part, according to Tech.eu and Vendep. The company did not disclose a valuation.
Claimlane will use the money to develop AI agents tailored to each customer's products, policies and supplier agreements, and to expand in the US, which it now describes as its largest market for new customers.
“With this funding, we’ll continue building AI agents that learn and handle complex aftersales workflows”Anders Sommer, CEO and co-founder, Claimlane
What Claimlane does
When a product breaks or arrives faulty, the brand or retailer that sold it has to decide whether to repair, replace or refund it, and often has to recover the cost from a supplier. Claimlane sells software that manages those steps: warranty decisions, fault assessment, repairs, replacements, refunds and supplier claims.
Its customers include Skechers, Black Diamond, tonies and Hummel. The company said its network covers more than 20,000 retailers and brands.
Claimlane has been adding AI agents to the platform. Vendep said the first agentic features went live with customers in early 2026 and have since spread to a much larger share of the customer base. The plan is for the agents to learn each customer's own products, warranty rules and supplier agreements, starting with electronics, furniture and outdoor equipment.
The US push
North America has become Claimlane's largest market for new customers this year. The company said US sales opportunities were up 150% from a year earlier and the value of newly created pipeline had doubled. Chief executive and co-founder Anders Sommer has moved to Austin to lead the expansion, and the company also has an office in London.
"With this funding, we’ll continue building AI agents that learn and handle complex aftersales workflows across the supply chain," Sommer said. He said demand from US brands and retailers made the company's next move clear.
Customers quoted in the announcement described savings on manual work. Tess Jordan, senior manager of customer experience at Black Diamond, said Claimlane helped the company turn its aftersales department from a cost centre into a profit centre, by cutting manual claims work and freeing staff to build a repairs programme that brings in revenue.
Who invested
Alexey Bulygin, a principal at Verb Ventures, said lasting AI companies will pair specialist knowledge with the ability to act inside real workflows. He said Claimlane's network and its operational role would be hard to copy with AI alone.
Vendep led Claimlane's seed round in spring 2024. At that point, Vendep said, the company had fewer than ten people, sold mainly through its founders and held about 90% of Danish retailers of baby and children's products, with roughly a fifth of revenue coming from outside Denmark. Since then it has reworked its approach in the UK, narrowed its focus to companies with complex warranty and supplier problems, and started serving US customers.
Timo Felin, a partner at Vendep, said the new round gives the company about three times more resources for growth. Claimlane did not disclose its headcount, revenue or total funding.
