Cyera, a data security company, raised $400m from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives as an extension of its Series G round, it announced on 22 September 2026. The company said it is valued at more than $12bn.
Goldman Sachs Alternatives provided the whole extension. Evolution Equity led the original Series G, a $600m round announced in June 2026 at a $12bn valuation, according to Globes. Goldman did not take part in the June round, and its first investment in Cyera came at the same price as the June investors, HedgeCo reported, citing The Next Web. Value Add VC described the valuation as flat.
Cyera has raised about $1.4bn in 2026 and more than $2bn in total, according to HedgeCo and Value Add VC, citing Calcalist and The Next Web. Globes put the total at $2.3bn after the June round.
“Global 2000 enterprises are telling us the same thing: they need to trust what AI agents can see and do before they can scale them. AI infrastructure is moving faster than the security architecture around it. This investment accelerates our work to bring data and identity together, so enterprises can give agents access with confidence and keep that access aligned with business intent.”Yotam Segev, Cofounder and CEO, Cyera
What Cyera does
Cyera was founded in 2021 by chief executive Yotam Segev and chief technology officer Tamar Bar-Ilan, according to Calcalist. Globes, Calcalist and Reuters describe it as an Israeli company.
Its platform finds and protects sensitive data inside companies, whether it is stored, moving or in use, and whether people or AI agents are touching it. The company said customers including Paramount, Chipotle and Valvoline use it to control what data their AI systems can reach.
This year Cyera extended the product to the agents themselves. Agent Guardian and Cyera Endpoint track the tool calls, database queries and other actions agents take, including local coding agents on employees' computers. The company also bought Oasis Security, which manages non-human identities; Value Add VC reported the price at about $1bn. Cyera says combining data and identity controls lets companies govern access for people, machines and agents in one system.
What the money is for
Cyera said the money will fund new features on its AI security roadmap, a deeper push into the US federal market and further growth in EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
"Global 2000 enterprises are telling us the same thing: they need to trust what AI agents can see and do before they can scale them," said Segev. Irit Kahan, a managing director in Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, said that "Securing AI will be one of the defining categories in enterprise technology over the next decade" and that Cyera was the first to bring data and identity together.
Cyera did not disclose revenue. It had more than 1,500 employees across 18 countries at the time of its June round, according to its June release and Calcalist.
The funding so far
Cyera's valuation has risen quickly. In June 2025 it raised $540m at a $6bn valuation, Reuters reported. In December 2025 the Wall Street Journal reported, according to Reuters, that Blackstone was leading a $400m investment at a $9bn valuation; Globes and Calcalist dated that round to January 2026.
The June 2026 Series G, led by Evolution Equity Partners with Cyberstarts and Temasek joining, valued the company at $12bn, according to Globes. Cyera's other backers include Accel, Blackstone, Georgian, Lightspeed and Sequoia, the company said.
