Kazimi, a Berlin cybersecurity startup, closed an oversubscribed €2.2m (about $2.5m) pre-seed round on 24 August 2026. Market One Capital led it, with IBB Ventures and several mobile-industry executives taking part.
The company said it will use the money to scale its product for the global mobile advertising market.

What Kazimi does
Kazimi provides a security layer for mobile apps that protects the app's communication signals. Developers can collect and verify first-party data, detect bot activity and tell real users from fake ones, using privacy-preserving cryptographic proofs. IBB Ventures said the aim is secure, accurate first-party data that bots cannot manipulate.
Its clients are mobile gaming studios, rewards platforms and fintech apps. The company said global mobile ad spend was $419bn in 2025 and is projected to exceed $1tn by 2035, which it cites as the size of the market it is targeting.
The company says the tools can tell developers whether activity in their apps comes from real users or from automated bots, without relying on personal data. Its clients include mobile gaming studios, rewards platforms and fintech apps, according to IBB Ventures.
The team
Co-founder and chief product officer Andreas Naumann is a mobile ad-fraud and security expert. The founders built the security and fraud-detection systems at Adjust, which AppLovin acquired in 2021 for about $1bn, according to IBB Ventures. Other founders were not named in the release.
Naumann said that until now it has been technically impossible for app developers to have true visibility. StartupRise reported that the company was founded in 2024.
StartupRise listed the leadership as Chase Gummer, chief executive, August Joseph, chief technology officer, Ville Mikkola, chief operating officer, and Naumann as co-founder and chief product officer. It said the product is designed to meet privacy and compliance requirements while identifying non-human activity.
Who invested
The angels are Petri Hyökyranta, a former chief technology officer of Rovio, Janne Peltola, a former data scientist at Supercell, and Erik Massmann, who was chief financial officer of Birkenstock Group and Sportradar.
Jacek Lubinski, a partner at Market One Capital, said that in the AI era Kazimi could become the fundamental security layer for the global app economy. Hyökyranta said he has long been dismayed by the lack of security in mobile marketing, and Massmann called the bot crisis in mobile marketing the elephant in the room.
Nordic9's listing of the deal names the same investors.
IBB Ventures' statement said the investment supports secure and accurate first-party data that is free from manipulation by bots. Kazimi said the round was oversubscribed, and gave no information on how much of it each investor provided.
Stage and context
Rayk Reitenbach of IBB Ventures commented on the investment in the announcement. The sources do not give a valuation or say how much Market One Capital now owns.
The release did not name any of Kazimi's customers.
