Knowledge Work, a Tokyo software company, raised ¥3.5bn (about $23.3m) in the first close of its Series C, it announced on 4 August 2026. Globis Capital Partners, an existing investor, led the third-party share allotment.

The company announced the funding alongside the launch of its Sales AI Agent OS. It said the investment evaluates its shift from a software-as-a-service company into an AI agent company. No valuation or cumulative funding total was disclosed in the release.

“今回のシリーズCファイナンスでは、ナレッジワークのSaaS企業からAIエージェント企業への進化、および直近の成長をご評価頂きました。”Koji Asano, CEO, Knowledge Work

Who invested

Ten new corporate investors joined, according to the press release published on PR Times: Ricoh Japan, Canon Marketing Japan's MIRAI Fund, NTT Docomo Ventures, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, MUFG Innovation Partners, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, the Fukoku CVC Fund, Dentsu Ventures, Hakuhodo DY Ventures and a Japan Post asset-management vehicle. The Bridge listed Yucho Asset Management in that group.

Existing investors Globis, DNX Ventures, WiL, Salesforce Ventures and Force Startups Capital also took part.

The Bridge reported that the funds will also pay for tie-ups with partners' customer bases and solutions, which Knowledge Work plans to pair with its AI technology and sales enablement know-how.

What the company does

Knowledge Work was established in March 2020 and began business on 1 April 2020. Its customers are mainly large enterprises, including NTT Docomo Business, Mizuho Bank and Nissin Foods, with deployments that reach several thousand users, according to the release.

It sells three lines of products. The Sales AX Consulting series builds and runs custom AI agents for a client's sales work. The Sales AI Product series offers standard agents for common sales tasks. The new Sales AI Agent OS series is a foundation for building agents that use a company's own data and strategy.

The operating system has four layers. An ontology layer links each company's sales data in its sales context, a strategy layer takes in its sales strategy, an agent layer builds, manages and analyses agents, and an interface layer gives users access.

The team

Koji Asano is chief executive, Hazumu Yamazaki is chief AI officer and Maya Kawanaka is chief technology officer. The release names no founders and gives no headcount.

Joe Konno, a managing partner at Globis Capital Partners, said Asano's vision and strategy from the founding days have not wavered and that steady progress is being made towards realising them.

Yamazaki described the company as a one-of-a-kind AI company providing consulting, products and the agent operating system end to end for sales.

What the money is for

The company plans capital and business alliances with leading companies across industries and strategic partnerships through corporate venture funds. The Bridge reported that it intends to combine those partners' customer bases and solutions with its AI technology and sales enablement know-how to speed up delivery of sales AI agents.

Kawanaka said the company will accelerate technology development for the Sales AI Agent OS. The release does not break down spending further.
