Monk, which sells an AI-native accounts receivable platform, raised a $25m Series A round, announced on 21 April 2026. Footwork and Acrew Capital co-led the round, and Better Tomorrow Ventures, which backed Monk's seed round, returned as an investor. No valuation was disclosed.
FinTech Global reported that Monk has raised $29m in total, including a $4m seed round led by Better Tomorrow Ventures in spring 2025. The company said the new money will go into research and development, with a focus on building more products for accounts receivable (AR) teams.
What Monk does
Monk's platform handles invoice-to-cash work, the process that starts when a company sends an invoice and ends when the payment is collected and matched. In its announcement it describes covering intelligent collections and cash projection, and says it created the category of intelligent collections. FinTech Global described the product as automating the contract-to-cash process.
The company says it concentrates on the hard parts of AR: edge cases, uploads to customer payment portals, purchase-order mismatches and disputes. It argues that most AR tools automate the easy parts and leave the difficult parts to the customer's own team.
The announcement named ElevenLabs, Profound and Siro as customers. FinTech Global named ElevenLabs and Profound. The post on Monk's blog is written by George Kurdin, who FinTech Global identified as co-founder and chief executive.
Results the company reports
Monk says customers have cut days sales outstanding, the average time it takes to be paid, by more than 40% on average. It also reports a 24% higher response rate on collections outreach and savings of 26 hours a month for AR teams. FinTech Global gave the time saving as more than 25 hours. These are the company's own figures and have not been independently checked.
The investors
Footwork, whose co-founder and general partner is Nikhil Basu Trivedi, co-led the round with Acrew Capital. Basu Trivedi said, according to FinTech Global, that the hard part of AI is getting the technology into the workflows that run the economy, and that Monk is one of the few application-layer teams willing to do that work.
Kurdin said, according to FinTech Global, that accounts receivable touches a company's customers and its revenue, which leaves no room for error. Monk's blog post argues that large language models are well suited to AR work.
Monk's blog says it is built in New York, but neither source gave a headquarters address or a headcount. The company said it is hiring.
The funding so far
The Series A takes Monk's total funding to $29m, according to FinTech Global. Beyond the 2025 seed round of about $4m, the sources did not describe earlier funding. Monk did not say how it will divide the new money between engineering, sales and other areas, beyond its commitment to research and development. Better Tomorrow Ventures has now invested in both of the company's rounds.
