Multipolitan, a global mobility company that combines immigration, visa and travel administration, raised $2m in a round led by EmergentX, announced on 3 November 2026. The round values the company at $25m before the investment, according to TechNode Global and The Source Code.
EmergentX describes itself as a global venture studio, accelerator and incubator. No other investors were named. TechNode Global and the Philippine outlet Tribune called the round a seed, while The Source Code called it a pre-seed. The Source Code also carried a headline giving the amount as $2.5m, but its own text gave the figure as $2m, or AED 7.35m, and the other reports agree on $2m.
The money will go toward launching the Multipolitan App, scheduled for December 2026, and expanding its Private Client service.

What Multipolitan does
TechNode Global said the company is building what it called the operating system for living and moving across borders. Its existing service, Multipolitan Private Client, brings immigration, visa, travel and cross-border administration together. The Source Code and TechNode Global reported that the service has generated more than $4m in net revenue in under two years, a figure that comes from the company.
The company has three proprietary tools. INREX is an immigration intelligence engine, FlightIQ gives real-time travel information, and Visa Connect is an AI-powered visa engine. The Tribune described the planned app as a free travel management tool that brings together passport and visa details, immigration requirements, flight updates and travel documents.
Lee Smith, a co-founder, said: "Multipolitan removes the friction of travelling to, or living in, other countries", and noted that adding a family with multiple passports and visas "quickly becomes overwhelming".
Founders, team and location
The company was founded in 2024 by Nirbhay Handa and Lee Smith, according to The Source Code. Handa was previously group head of business development at Henley & Partners. Smith co-founded the Japanese fintech Paidy, which PayPal acquired.
The Source Code reported more than 40 employees, eight of them in the UAE, with staff in Singapore and Bengaluru and offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It described the company as incorporated in Abu Dhabi Global Market. TechNode Global and the Tribune called it Singapore-based, so its headquarters is reported inconsistently.
Expansion plans
The Tribune said Multipolitan plans to open an office in Manila and to hire mobile and full-stack developers, and sees the Philippines as a key part of its expansion in Asia. Handa said: "We expect the country to remain a key part of our expansion in Asia."
TechNode Global cited UN Tourism figures for the market: more than 1.5 billion international trips a year, more than 300 million people living outside the country where they were born, and an estimated 40 million digital nomads.
Handa also said in the Source Code report that the investment will help bring together specialist mobility expertise and technology.
