NewCore, an Israeli identity security startup, came out of stealth on 15 June 2026 with $66m in funding at a reported $300m valuation. The funding combines a $16m pre-seed round led by Index Ventures and Cyberstarts with an expanded seed that took the total to $66m, according to Calcalist.

Reports differ on who led the seed. Calcalist said Evolution Equity Partners led the expanded round, while also crediting Cyberstarts with the seed lead. TechCrunch described a $66m seed led by Cyberstarts, with Index Ventures and Evolution Equity Partners participating. This article follows the lead named in Calcalist's account of the second round, Evolution Equity Partners, and notes the conflict.

Angels named by Calcalist include Assaf Rappaport of Wiz, Yevgeny Dibrov of Armis, Ofer Ben-Noon, Ofir Ehrlich of Eon, Sharin Fisher and Yotam Segev of Cyera.

What NewCore does

NewCore builds an identity platform that manages and secures the identities and permissions of employees, systems and AI agents in one system. TechCrunch reported that it treats AI agents as first-class identities with their own permissions, lifecycle controls and revocation mechanisms, rather than as service accounts. Its split-key design divides critical credentials between the customer and the platform to remove a single point of compromise.

It offers an Agentic Skill package that gives coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor access to enterprise systems as managed identities, and a mobile app for employees to grant, review and revoke agents' access. Calcalist said the platform aims to eliminate excess permissions and lets companies migrate from legacy systems gradually without downtime.

The founders and the company

Zohar Alon, chief executive, co-founded the cloud security company Dome9, which Check Point acquired for $175m according to Calcalist. Chief technology officer Amihai Neiderman is a former Unit 8200 research leader who founded Nym Health. Erez Yarkoni, chief commercial officer, was previously chief information officer of T-Mobile USA and Telstra.

The company has more than 50 employees across Israel and the US, with offices in Tel Aviv and San Francisco. TechCrunch reported fewer than 10 paying customers and more than 10 design partners, with charging expected to begin this summer.

Ambition and use of the money

Neither article itemised how the money will be spent. Alon told Calcalist the current funding gives about four years of runway, and that the company is aiming for revenue of tens of millions of dollars within 18 months. He said the company aims to compete head-on with Microsoft and Okta, a vendor he described as one the market is very dissatisfied with.

Alon told TechCrunch that AI agents will break identity platforms built 15 to 20 years ago, and that the question is whether the industry will build the guardrails in time.

The company was founded in 2025, so the pre-seed and the expanded seed came within roughly its first year, and Calcalist described it as about one year old at launch.
