Parloa, a Berlin company that sells AI agents for customer service, raised $350m in a Series D round led by General Catalyst, it announced on 15 January 2026. The round valued the company at $3bn.
Existing investors EQT Ventures, Altimeter Capital, Durable Capital Partners and Mosaic Ventures also took part. Parloa said it has now raised more than $560m in less than four years.
The valuation was three times the $1bn the company was valued at in its $120m Series C. Parloa said the Series D closed seven months after that round, while TechCrunch put the gap at about eight months.

What Parloa does
Parloa was co-founded by Malte Kosub, its chief executive, and Stefan Ostwald. Its AI Agent Management Platform lets large companies build and run AI agents that handle customer calls and messages.
Customers named by the company include Allianz, Booking.com, HealthEquity, SAP, Sedgwick, Swiss Life and TeamViewer. TechCrunch reported that Parloa passed $50m in annual recurring revenue in December 2025. The company said it has 380 employees and offices in Berlin, Munich and New York, where it recently opened a US headquarters in midtown Manhattan. It has also scouted offices in San Francisco and Madrid and has a team in London.
Kosub described the market in broad terms. "In the end, it is one of the biggest opportunities that has ever existed in software," he told TechCrunch.
"I didn't expect to be writing about our Series D already today - just seven months after our $1bn Series C," Kosub wrote, according to Tech.eu.
What the money is for
Parloa said it will use the money to expand in the US and Europe, add features to its platform and launch the Parloa Promise, which it described as a commitment to agent reliability and responsible AI. TechCrunch reported that the company is building a multi-model system for AI agents that recognise a customer's identity and needs across app, web and phone.
As part of the deal, General Catalyst chief executive Hemant Taneja and the firm's president and managing director, Jeannette zu Fürstenberg, will join Parloa's supervisory board. "Parloa is setting the standard for enterprise-grade AI throughout the customer journey," Taneja said in the company's statement.
Jens Rassloff, chairman of Parloa's supervisory board, said the investment marked a defining moment for the company. Henry Ellenbogen of Durable Capital Partners said the next generation of category-defining companies would be built on relationships rather than transactions.
A busy market for AI customer service
Parloa competes with several well-funded companies. TechCrunch noted that Sierra raised $350m at a $10bn valuation in September 2025 and that Decagon was reportedly in talks to raise at a valuation of $4bn or more. PolyAI raised $86m at a $750m valuation, according to TechCrunch. Intercom and Kore.ai also sell AI agents for customer support.
Kosub told TechCrunch that the number of competitors was falling sharply. TechCrunch cited a Gartner estimate that there are 17 million contact centre agents worldwide.
