Pluggy, a Brazilian Open Finance infrastructure company, raised a $3.5m Series A led by DGF, according to Startups.com.br on 26 August 2026. Y Combinator and Brazil Venture Capital also invested. FinTech Global, which reported the round on 31 August, described the money as a fresh $3.5m funding round with the same three investors.
Pluggy has raised about $6m in total including this round, Startups.com.br reported. No valuation was disclosed.
“O nosso foco com essa rodada é densidade.”Bruno Loiola, Chief Growth Officer and co-founder, Pluggy
What Pluggy does
Pluggy describes itself as an agnostic Open Finance infrastructure platform for businesses. It connects more than 600 ERPs, accounting systems and financial management platforms to banks and institutions, through a single integration, FinTech Global reported.
The company says it has about 500 direct clients and nearly half a million connected company tax IDs (CNPJs), which it says gives it access to more than 10 million small and mid-sized companies in Brazil. Its clients include large financial management and accounting platforms and outsourced back-office providers.
Rogério Correa, chief executive and co-founder, said Pluggy solves three problems through a single integration. Brazil's central bank has authorised Pluggy as a payment transaction initiator since June 2024.
Baguete described Pluggy as a São Paulo fintech specialised in financial data. Through a single API, banks, fintechs and companies in other sectors can connect accounts at more than 130 financial institutions, and the API standardises and categorises the data. Features include reading balances, statements, cards and investments, as well as Pix charges, automated recurring payments and cash management.
Baguete named clients including Totvs, Cloud Gym, Kamino, Nibo, Conta Azul, Maket Up, Ottimizza and Bom Controle. It said Pluggy's differentiator is an agnostic embedded finance model: unlike traditional banking-as-a-service, which relies on one partner bank behind a white-label product, it lets the end customer choose the bank.
Profitability and growth
Pluggy was founded in 2020. Its founders are Correa, Gabriel Gantes, Victor Braga and Bruno Loiola, the chief growth officer. The company says it reached break-even in 2024 and has been profitable since.
It expects to end 2026 with revenue above R$25m (roughly $4.5m), beating its goal of tripling revenue year on year, and projects continued expansion in 2027. These figures are the company's own.
Baguete put the round at about R$18m and said the company plans to keep its growth rate in 2027 by investing the new capital in its embedded finance ecosystem.
What the money is for
Pluggy will use the funds to develop new products and accelerate growth by embedding more financial services, such as billing, payments and other embedded services, in one integration.
Loiola said the focus of the round is density. The company did not give a headcount.
Baguete quoted Loiola as saying the capital will not be used to widen coverage, meaning the round is about depth rather than breadth.
Who invested
The investment comes from DGF's eighth fund, which started in the first quarter of 2025, has raised more than R$200m and has seven portfolio companies. João Orem, a partner at DGF, said the thesis that convinced the firm was agnostic infrastructure and the great value customers already perceive.
Y Combinator and Brazil Venture Capital are listed as new contributions in this round.
DGF has focused on B2B software since 2001, and its past investments include Mastersaf, RD Station, Reclame Aqui, Solides and Tractian, Baguete reported. Brazil Venture Capital focuses on Latin American startups at pre-seed and seed stages.
