ZeroRisk, an Irish company that helps payment providers manage cyber risk across the businesses they serve, raised $10m in a Series A round announced on 9 September 2026. MiddleGame Ventures led the round, and existing investor Elkstone also took part.

The company did not disclose a valuation or the total it has raised to date. It said the money would pay for international expansion, further product development and the operational capacity needed to roll out its platform across large merchant portfolios.

ZeroRisk said it expects revenue to triple in 2026 as contracted programmes move into deployment and its international customer base grows. It did not publish revenue figures.

“ZeroRisk has moved from proving the product to deploying it at scale. This investment will allow us to expand the team, deepen the platform and support the payment providers that have chosen to build their next-generation of merchant cyber programmes with us.”Gary Nolan, Co-founder and CEO, ZeroRisk

What ZeroRisk does

Founded in Ireland in 2023, ZeroRisk sells to acquirers, payment processors, payment facilitators and other financial institutions. Its platform gives them a single view of the cyber risk carried by the merchants in their portfolios, and combines risk monitoring, compliance, education, guided remediation and protection services.

Merchants using the platform get guidance on the risks most relevant to their business and the steps they can take to deal with them. The company argues that annual compliance checks no longer cover the threats small businesses face, which it lists as scams, credential-based threats, website vulnerabilities, attacks on connected devices and the ability to recover after an incident. It also says payment processors can use the platform to sell additional services to their merchants, turning a compliance obligation into a source of revenue.

ZeroRisk said it already works with payment businesses including Bank of America, Global Payments, Checkout.com and Trust Payments. It operates in Ireland and the United States, with offices in Dublin, Atlanta and Longford, and serves customers in Europe and North America. Gary Nolan is co-founder and chief executive; the company did not give a headcount.

Who invested

MiddleGame Ventures is new to the company. Patrick Pinschmidt, its co-managing partner, said the team's experience as former operators in payments meant it understood the problems of payment providers first-hand, and that it had built technology to simplify a core financial services workflow.

Elkstone first backed ZeroRisk at the seed stage; the size of that round was not disclosed. Niall McEvoy, the firm's head of venture, said the company's commercial progress in a short period had been strong and that Elkstone was increasing its support alongside MiddleGame.

What the money is for

Nolan said the new capital would be used to grow the team, deepen the platform and support the payment providers building their merchant cyber programmes on ZeroRisk. He said payment companies had for years tried to manage merchant risk through annual compliance exercises and that this was no longer enough.

The company described its goal as leading what it called the risk orchestration segment of the payment processing market. The press release was issued on its behalf by Gordon MRM and carried a Dublin dateline.
