Cambio, a San Francisco company that sells an AI platform for commercial real estate operations, raised an $18m Series A, announced on 22 January 2026 as the company launched publicly. Maverick Ventures led the round, according to Bisnow and Crunchbase News. Y Combinator, Adverb Ventures and Peterson Ventures also took part, along with angel investors including executives from OpenAI and Anthropic. Crunchbase News also listed people tied to Notion.
Both outlets reported a $100m valuation. The company's own announcement was not among the pages reviewed, so the valuation is attributed to the press. Total funding is $22m, according to Bisnow and Crunchbase News.

What Cambio does
Bisnow described an agentic AI platform that ingests unstructured building data such as invoices, utility bills and engineering reports, evaluates building performance, identifies retrofit opportunities and generates capital strategies.
Crunchbase News said the company was founded in 2022 and took part in Y Combinator's summer 2022 batch. Its founders are Leia de Guzman and Stephanie Grayson, both former institutional commercial real estate operators. Bisnow reported that the product first launched at the end of 2023, citing Crunchbase.
Bisnow reported that the platform draws on data covering more than 2 billion square feet of assets and recommends retrofits and capital plans from it. Crunchbase News said the company recently opened a London office.
Customers and reach
Crunchbase News listed customers including Oxford Properties, Nuveen, Principal, BGO and Beacon Capital. It said Cambio covers more than 2 billion square feet of assets and recently opened a London office.
The two outlets disagree on the number of countries in which it operates: Bisnow said 25 and Crunchbase News said 35, so the figure is not given here. Neither reported a headcount.
What the money is for
Crunchbase News reported that the money will mainly be used to scale product and engineering. Bisnow did not state a use of funds.
De Guzman said commercial real estate owners sit on thousands of pages of unstructured documents. Bisnow quoted her as saying: "For years, owners have been buried in thousands of pages of unstructured building data". Grayson told Bisnow the company was built to answer investor-grade questions such as where to deploy capital and which assets to prioritise.
De Guzman told Crunchbase News that commercial real estate owners sit on thousands of pages of unstructured documents, which is the problem the platform is built to read and organise for them.
Who invested
Ryan Isono, a managing director at Maverick Ventures, told Crunchbase News that the founders' operating background gave them an intuitive understanding that this "wasn't a tooling problem – it was a workflow problem." Grayson said the founders wanted to step inside AI transformation, not just observe it from the sidelines.
The sources reviewed do not itemise Cambio's earlier funding beyond the $22m total, which implies about $4m raised before the Series A.
