Hyeglo Beauty, a New Delhi makeup and skincare brand, raised ₹7 crore (about $0.8m) in a seed round announced on 2 November 2026. Sauce led the round, according to Indian Retailer and BW Retail World.
Giga Capital, Consumer Collective and The Patient Capital also invested, along with Arjun Purkayastha, senior vice president and managing director for Greater China and North Asia at Reckitt. Indian Retailer noted that Giga Capital is backed by Aarti Gill of OZiva Nutrition. No valuation was disclosed.
Hyeglo launched in April 2026, so the round came within roughly seven months of the brand's debut. Indian Retailer published the news on 2 November and BW Retail World, which was written by its bureau, carried it on 3 November. Neither report disclosed a valuation, a revenue figure or the share of the round raised from each investor.
“Indian women have been asked to choose between makeup that performs and products that are actually good for their skin.”Kanupriya Ahluwalia, Founder and CEO, Hyeglo Beauty
What Hyeglo does
Hyeglo sells what it calls skinified beauty: makeup built to deliver skincare benefits as well as colour. BW Retail World reported that its formulations use active ingredients at effective dosages, aiming for both cosmetic performance and skin benefit. The company started with makeup because it saw a gap in the market, and its larger goal is to build the skinified beauty category in India.
The company is led by founder and chief executive Kanupriya Ahluwalia, who has nine years of experience building beauty brands in India and the Middle East. Her earlier employers include Nykaa, Kay Beauty, Noon and Namshi.
What the money is for
Hyeglo said it will spend the funds on research and development, new product development and portfolio expansion across colour and care, brand building, and strategic hires. It described the next step as a move into a scale phase, taking the skinified proposition to a wider consumer base and building a portfolio that pairs skincare-led formulations with makeup performance.
The company did not give a split of the ₹7 crore across these areas, and the reports did not state revenue, headcount or the number of products on sale.
Why the investors backed it
Yash Dholakia, a partner at Sauce, said "The most valuable consumer brands create the category they go on to lead." BW Retail World carried a differently worded version of the same remark, saying that consumer brands that create new categories have the potential to lead them. The quote used here is from Indian Retailer.
Dholakia said growing consumer interest in skincare is raising expectations for other face products. He cited Hyeglo's focus on formulation, and Ahluwalia's experience of scaling beauty brands in two markets, as key reasons for the investment.
Ahluwalia said: "Indian women have been asked to choose between makeup that performs and products that are actually good for their skin." BW Retail World framed the overlap between makeup and skincare as a growing trend, with consumers expecting their makeup to offer skin benefits.
