NEURA Robotics, a German company that builds cognitive robots and humanoids, announced on 10 June 2026 a Series C financing with a total size of up to $1.4bn. The company called it the largest round ever raised by a full-stack robotics company.
Tether, the stablecoin issuer, said in a statement reported by The Block that it led the round. Other investors named by NEURA were Qualcomm Technologies, Amazon, NVIDIA, the semiconductor fund imec.xpand, Bosch, Schaeffler, the European Investment Bank, Lingotto Horizon and InterAlpen Partners.
NEURA did not disclose a valuation. Because the round was announced as "up to" $1.4bn, the full amount may not all be paid in at once.
“The future of AI will not only live on screens,”David Reger, Founder and CEO, NEURA Robotics
What NEURA Robotics does
NEURA was founded in 2019 and is based in Metzingen, Germany. Its founder and chief executive is David Reger. The company makes humanoid robots, precision robotic arms, autonomous mobile robots and service robots, according to Decrypt.
Its software platform, the Neuraverse, is designed to let robots share skills and learning across deployments. NEURA is also building NEURA Gyms, large training sites that combine real-world sensor data with simulation to train its machines.
The company said its order book and strategic deployment pipeline together exceed $1bn. Industrial partners include Bosch, Schaeffler, Kawasaki and Delta Electronics. Reger said in the announcement that physical AI and cognitive robotics would be one of the largest technology shifts of the coming decades.
What the money is for
NEURA said the capital would fund serial production with the aim of building millions of robots by 2030. It will also pay for the global roll-out of its cognitive robots and humanoids, the expansion of the Neuraverse and NEURA Gyms, more manufacturing and deployment infrastructure, and research on future physical AI systems.
Tether's investment comes with a technology arrangement. According to Decrypt and The Block, Tether will build its open-source Wallet Development Kit into NEURA's robots, so machines can hold self-custodial wallets and receive payment for tasks, and will integrate its QVAC edge AI runtime into the Neuraverse so models can run on the device. Tether chief executive Paolo Ardoino said autonomous machines needed to process information, make decisions and transact locally.
Several investors are also partners. Amazon said it would contribute cloud infrastructure and AI chips as well as capital, and Schaeffler and Bosch described the investment as part of their push into humanoid robots.
The funding so far
NEURA closed a €120m (about $124m) Series B in January 2025, according to Implicator, which said the new round made it the most-funded humanoid company in Europe. The Block put the January 2025 raise at nearly $140m, with BlueCrest, C4 Ventures, Lingotto and Volvo Cars Tech Fund among the investors.
Implicator also reported that Bloomberg had put NEURA's valuation near €4bn in early March 2026. The company has not confirmed a new figure, and it has not disclosed its revenue or headcount.
