osapiens, a German company that sells software for supply-chain compliance and sustainability, announced a $100m Series C on 14 January 2026. Decarbonization Partners, a joint venture between BlackRock and Temasek, agreed to lead the round, according to the company's announcement. The agreement is subject to regulatory approvals, and the page does not say that the round has closed.
Existing investors Goldman Sachs Alternatives and Armira Growth are joining the round. The company said the investment makes it a unicorn. ESG Today described the valuation as over $1bn, but osapiens did not publish a dollar figure for it.
The announcement came as the company positions its software around regulatory dynamics, including supply-chain transparency, reporting and supplier compliance, which Pulse 2.0 listed among the areas its tools cover.
“This investment is a strong validation of our strategy and our long-term vision.”Alberto Zamora, Co-CEO and Co-Founder, osapiens
What osapiens does
ESG Today described osapiens as a cloud software provider that automates compliance, streamlines operations and tracks sustainability metrics. Its AI-powered osapiens HUB has more than 25 enterprise solutions running on a multi-tenant infrastructure, according to the company.
The company is based in Mannheim, Germany, and was founded in 2018 by Alberto Zamora, Stefan Wawrzinek and Matthias Jungblut, according to Pulse 2.0 and ChannelLife. Zamora and Jungblut are co-chief executives.
Pulse 2.0 reported that osapiens has more than 2,400 customers worldwide, including Coca-Cola North America, Lidl, Carrefour, OTTO and the Acciona-Nordex Group, and more than 550 employees across Europe and the United States. Its tools cover reporting, supplier compliance, product compliance, risk management and supply chain transparency. ChannelLife listed further customers, including BAT, Tesco and DS Smith. The customer and headcount figures are the company's own.
What the money is for
osapiens said it will use the funds to accelerate product innovation and to grow in existing and new international markets. ESG Today noted that the company announced plans in July 2025 to invest $40m in UK expansion, and that it has acquired Lucent AI, a Berlin-based agentic AI risk management firm.
Zamora said the investment "is a strong validation of our strategy and our long-term vision." He added that it shows sustainable growth and AI-driven efficiency remain top priorities for global investors.
Who invested
Decarbonization Partners focuses on late-stage venture capital and early growth private equity. ESG Today described it as BlackRock and Temasek's decarbonisation-focused fund.
Meghan Sharp, its global head and chief investment officer, said osapiens' platform "delivers the clarity organizations need to operate and grow responsibly." Jungblut said Decarbonization Partners understands the regulatory dynamics companies face today.
The funding so far
The company's own announcement lists two earlier rounds. A $27m Series A in 2023 was led by Armira Growth, and a $120m Series B in 2024 was led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives. ESG Today also reports the Series B as $120m and Goldman-led.
Pulse 2.0 and ChannelLife both noted that the post-money valuation, the size of Decarbonization Partners' stake and the existing investors' participation levels were not disclosed.
