TravClan, an Indian company that sells flights, hotels, activities and holiday packages to travel agents rather than to travellers, has raised $5m. Equity came from Flipkart and Singapore-based August One, and Trifecta Capital provided debt financing. The company announced the round on 22 October 2026.

Reports differed on how the $5m was made up. The company's release, Indian Startup News and Inc42 treated $5m as the size of the whole round, and Inc42 described it as a mix of equity and debt. Daijiworld reported $5m of equity with the debt from Trifecta on top. None of the sources gave the size of the debt portion.

No lead investor was named, and the company did not give the round a stage name or disclose a valuation. The release said TravClan has now raised more than $11m in total.

“Our ambition is to make TravClan the infrastructure that any travel business can build on instead of having to recreate the entire travel stack itself. This capital allows us to invest aggressively behind that opportunity.”Arun Bagaria, Co-founder and CEO, TravClan

What TravClan does

TravClan was founded in 2018 by chief executive Arun Bagaria with Chirag Agrawal and Ashish Thapliyal, according to Inc42 and Indian Startup News. The founders had earlier worked at OYO, TravelTriangle and Cars24, Indian Startup News reported. The release names Agrawal as co-founder and chief operating officer, spelling his surname Agarwal.

The platform lets agents search inventory, price trips, build itineraries, take bookings and payments and handle customer messages, with AI-based tools to rework an itinerary when a customer changes plans. TravClan contracts directly with hotels and activity providers and runs its own ground teams in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and India.

More than 15,000 travel agents in India use the platform, and about 40% of its business comes from smaller Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, the company said. Indian Startup News reported that TravClan processes more than $100m a year in travel sales and offers destination services in more than 18 markets. Revenue was not disclosed.

Who invested

Flipkart's involvement was first reported by Inc42 on 5 October, when it said the Walmart-owned ecommerce company had taken a minority stake; the size of the stake was not disclosed. August One, a Singapore investment firm, first backed TravClan in January 2026, according to Indian Startup News.

Sahil Kukreja, a vice president at Trifecta Capital, said in the release that TravClan had built a capital-efficient business by owning its supply and selling through agents in underserved markets. Rajul Garg, founder and managing partner of earlier backer Leo Capital, said owning supply had once looked like the slow route but had paid off in better prices and more reliable trips.

Other investors to date include TheVentures, Hashed and a group of angels, the release said. Indian Startup News and Inc42 reported that the angels include Cars24 co-founders Vikram Chopra and Mehul Agrawal and Trip.com's Travis Katz.

What the money is for

TravClan said it would use the money to widen its direct supply relationships, build out its AI and booking technology, expand destination operations in its main international markets and develop infrastructure for larger travel businesses and platforms. Inc42 reported that the company also plans to grow its business development, engineering and destination operations teams.

In the release, Bagaria said the company wanted to become the base that any travel business could build on, rather than each having to rebuild the whole travel stack. In January 2026 TravClan announced a move into Europe and launched VOLT, an API-first product for high-volume travel businesses, Indian Startup News reported.

The funding so far

Indian Startup News reported that TravClan's seed round in August 2019 was led by Leo Capital, with the amount undisclosed. In September 2021 it raised $2.2m in a pre-Series A round co-led by Leo Capital and TheVentures, and in April 2022 it raised $4.7m in a round led by Hashed Emergent Fund, which the publication also described as pre-Series A.
