Yakeey, a Moroccan real estate platform, raised $15m in a Series A round, according to the International Finance Corporation, the World Bank Group's private-sector arm, which announced its participation on 27 January 2026. Wamda reported the round on 28 January.

IFC committed equity to the round but did not disclose how much. It said the investment was its first venture capital investment in Morocco's real estate sector. The release named Beltone Venture Capital, Enza Capital and CDG Invest, through its 212Founders programme, as co-investors. It did not name a lead, and neither did Wamda. The round came from international and local investors, and no valuation was disclosed.

“The challenge is not to multiply real estate portals, but to build a genuine transactional infrastructure”Karim Beqqali, Founder and CEO, Yakeey

What Yakeey does

Yakeey was founded in 2023 by Karim Beqqali, who is its founder and chief executive, and is based in Casablanca. Its platform combines property search, valuation, brokerage and financing in one workflow, in what MENA Startup Digest called one of Morocco's most traditionally fragmented sectors.

IFC described Yakeey as the only instant-buying provider in Morocco, with direct purchase agreements with Umnia Bank. Instant buying, or iBuying, means the company offers to purchase a home directly from the seller rather than waiting for a buyer to be found.

The platform is supported by YakeeyPro, a network of more than 800 independent agents, nearly half of them women, according to IFC. The press release behind the Wamda report described the company as an end-to-end digital real estate platform operating across the country and called the round the largest Series A funding round ever completed in Morocco. That claim comes from the company's own materials, and the sources do not give a comparison.

What the money is for

IFC said the funds will be used to launch new products and strengthen existing ones, scale the digital platform, deepen partnerships with financial institutions and strengthen the YakeeyPro agent network. Wamda's account of the release listed platform scaling, market expansion and regional growth, and MENA Startup Digest said the company also plans to expand into other markets in the Middle East and North Africa.

Beqqali framed the strategy as a move away from listings. "The challenge is not to multiply real estate portals, but to build a genuine transactional infrastructure," he said in the IFC release.

IFC's role

Farid Fezoua, IFC's global director for private equity and venture capital, said the partnership with Yakeey marks a milestone for the institution's ambitions to support the country's tech ecosystem. IFC said it has worked in Morocco for more than 60 years and has invested and mobilised over $2bn there in the past two years.

Wamda described Beltone Venture Capital as a strategic equity investor in the round. The sources reviewed do not report Yakeey's headcount, its earlier funding or its revenue, so this article does not attempt to estimate them.
